Privacy at FareFling

FareFling is a flight-discovery website operated by Scott Jones. You can browse flight results without creating an account.

Your account

When you use an email code, we store your email address, verification status, and account identifier. When you sign in with Google, we request your email address and basic identity identifier. We store Google's account identifier to recognize you on future visits. When you sign in with Apple, we store Apple's account identifier and the verified email address Apple supplies. If you choose Hide My Email, this is Apple's private relay address. We do not save Apple's access or refresh tokens. We do not request access to your Gmail messages, contacts, Drive files, or calendar, and we do not save Google's access or refresh tokens.

If you choose to save preferences, we store your home airport, domestic and international price caps, destination region, travel rules, school-break dates, and results-view preference with your account. If you save favorite destinations, we store their airport codes and city names. Fare watches and paid subscriptions are not currently available.

Sign-in and security

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and protect Google and Apple sign-in. The account session expires after 30 days; you can end it by signing out. Temporary email codes and Google or Apple sign-in requests expire after 10 minutes. Email sign-in requests use a hashed IP address to limit repeated requests.

Cloudflare hosts the site, processes requests, stores account and flight data in D1, and provides operational logs. Requests can include technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, and request times. Resend receives your email address and sign-in message to deliver email codes. Google or Apple processes sign-in when you choose its option.

Flight searches and booking

FareFling uses cached flight data supplied through Aviasales and Travelpayouts. Search inputs include airports, travel dates, and budget or timing filters. A booking link opens an external provider, which processes subsequent searches and purchases under its own privacy policy. FareFling does not collect payment-card details or issue airline tickets.

Storage and your choices

Account information and saved preferences remain in our database while your account is retained. Expiration makes old sign-in codes and sessions unusable; it does not necessarily immediately remove their database records. You can search without signing in, sign out at any time, and contact us to request access to or deletion of your account information.
